EMCO give talk at AIPIA World Congress in Nuremberg

EMCO are giving a presentation at the AIPIA World Congress in Nuremberg, Germany on 24th September.

AIPIA, the Active and Intelligent Packaging Association is an important trade body that promotes this rapidly growing industry. EMCO's talk will be given by Jonathan Hirst & Dr Nigel Parker and is titled "Active Technolgies to modify storage and package atmospheres" and will be an excellent showcase and technical forum for the presentation of:-

Oxygen Absorbers, CO2 absorbers, OxyFresh & OZOfresh technologies and more....

EFSA approval for OxyFresh Technology

EFSA, the European Food Safety Authority, has published their formal scientific opinion on EMCO's OxyFresh Technology. OxyFresh is considered safe for direct food contact inside food packages and as such is one of the first active packaging technologies to have gained this validation from EFSA.

This is exciting times for this emerging technology and points to a successful future for this product which is being identified for an increasingly diverse range of applications.

EMCO establishes new software division!

EMCO announces the creation of a new software division. The new division has 2 exciting products on the immediate agenda. The first product, VERIFY will be launched in 2013 and the second CO-ORDINATE will follow a short time later. EMCO awarded TSB grant

EMCO awarded TSB grant

EMCO have been awarded a grant from the Technologies Strategy board following an entry into the "innovation for growth in agriculture and food and drink' feasibility competition.

The prestigious grant was awarded to EMCO at the House of Commons by Mr Jim Paice, the Minister of State for Food and Agriculture and collected by Jonathan Hirst of EMCO. Jonathan stated that "it was an honour to receive such a prestigious award and in particular to receive it here in such a significant and historic environment!"

The award will assist EMCO to continue to commercialise its innovative OxyFresh technology.
