OZOfresh Ozone Gas flushing is a simple way to add ozone to your food packages. Used in complement to Nitrogen and CO2 or used independently, ozone can have enormous positive impacts on the shelf life of your products.
Specific applications include produce that is difficult to sanitise or wash effectively with chlorine like sweet corn, asparagus or artichoke hearts.
Ozone is free and simply created by combining electricity with air and then pumped (in line) into the food package just prior to sealing.
The ozone rapidly oxidises any organic bacteria or spoilage pathogens. It then converts from O3 (ozone) to O2 (oxygen) and leaves no residue!
